This is my kind of church. A church which interprets the bible intelligently and in light of the best of our contemporary scientific and philosophical research. A church which does not breed idiots and bigots. A church that freethinkers like me can attend without being suffocated by lowbrowed bovine defecation on the pulpit.

Alas it is for ever drought in fundamentalist Singapore. Even if one ignores the independent charismatic cults, our mainline Anglican, Methodist, Presbyterian, Baptist and Reformed congregations are also littered with windbags and demagogues who preach the bible literally.
